Amazon & Walmart Seller Glossary

Quick definitions for the terms you'll see across our site and in the Amazon/Walmart seller world.

A+ Content

Amazon's enhanced product-description format for Brand Registry members, allowing richer images and layout on the listing page beyond standard bullet points.

Brand Registry

Amazon's program giving verified brand owners tools for IP protection, A+ Content, and brand controls.

Buy Box

The default "Add to Cart" offer on a shared listing, awarded based on price, fulfillment, and seller performance.

FBA

Fulfillment by Amazon — Amazon stores, picks, packs, and ships the product on the seller's behalf.

FBM

Fulfilled by Merchant — the seller handles their own storage and shipping instead of using FBA.

POA (Plan of Action)

The written explanation and corrective-action plan a suspended seller submits to Amazon to request account reinstatement.

ROAS

Return on Ad Spend — the inverse view of ACoS, measuring sales generated per dollar of ad spend.

TACoS

Total Advertising Cost of Sale — ad spend divided by total sales (ad + organic); a better long-term profitability measure than ACoS alone.
